T-minus 28 days until September 18th, the day Daniel and I first met in person 10 years ago. I’m thinking about this now, because I’m pretty sure it was a case of the August farmer blahs that led me to check on my online dating account in the first place. And there was Daniel’s message, reaching out. This August is full of the blahs, but I have raspberries (Daniels favorite) and mushrooms (my favorite) to console me. About to soak some willow for my first basket commission of the new season. Cheers to the things that keep us going

Rain. Good for mushrooms, good for trimming shallots, bad for high tunnels with no cover. I’m calling off this season, ya’ll. I’m headed off to weaving classes the first week of September and after that it’s full time-ish weaving for me until next spring. Get the garden in a good place for next year, finish up the remaining crops, complete the high tunnel, that’s all I gots in me.

Mushrooms are drying in the oven - time to tackle (again) my poor garden. And I wonder why all my shirts are stained.
