First set of pigs have been on chips since Thursday. Great quality so far and bone looks exceptional. Selling off the farm by appointment this year. Give Rich a call or message me here to come look.

Pigs should be on chips hopefully next week and are really looking promising. Excited about our FFA ISF class winner and 2nd in class gilt litters as well as our acquisition of the Division champion Schwecke gilt from the Suhr family. These pigs get better every week. Will be selling off the farm only this year.

With all the weather and cold challenges, as I said the pigs are a little bit behind, so I’m holding people off in coming to look. In moving pigs, we’re very excited in the quality of these things. Probably liking this 1 litter the most this week. Puts a lot of things together, straight toes, balanced muscle and soundness in a very consistent litter. Out of “Cold Front”, the Heimer boar at Southern Gold. Love this time of year, lotza pigs!!

Since Rich has been a “No call, no show” for the last 12 days, I’ve gotten to have a good look at how the pigs are looking, and I like what I see at this stage. I’ll be posting more info with terrible pics this week. Blues, belted, orange, black, calico’s, we’ve got the color you want!! We’re behind a little with the way the weather has been, but gonna work towards filling the nursery and getting pigs on chips this week.

2020 to say the least was definitely a challenge but we’re really excited for what 2021 has in store. Over 15 litters so far with some great looking babies changing every day. We again used high quality boars from Southern Gold, SGI, Lairds and Polich. Let’s get your kids in some pigs!! Keep us in mind this March and come look.

I know there is still a lot of uncertainty with everything that has been going on, but we’re still staying the course and still have plenty of quality in the barn.

Regretfully we are going to cancel the 5 Star sale this Saturday. All pigs will be sold off the farm and pre-priced, first come first served. Please call Rich (515)520-7867 for an appointment or message me on FB. The barn is open now as it was. Spring Break, what better way to spend it finding that next champion. Very happy with the quality on chips, and the nursery is also full too. Ages for July county as well as NBS prospects.
