It’s rough going knowing that you have to get a garden started before the baby comes in order to have a bountiful summer!! But baby is here and today we were back at work, putting more fruit bushes into our edible front yard, and watching the beginnings of cucumbers, tomatoes and okra in the garden!

I haven’t posted much! But maybe when I’m done lugging this thing around, I’ll remember to take glorious garden pictures...

Im anxiously watching the weather and cautiously putting some plants in the ground! But hoping and praying for a wonderful garden harvest this year also means I need to adjust some of my food storage. So dried pinto beans became ready-to-use canned beans and frozen raspberries became raspberry preserves! We have 6 dedicated food storage freezers and I still worry we’ll run out of space!

Does it actually take 4 children (one out of frame) to walk pigs to a new pasture? No, they will happily take themselves. Buuuuuut it is a great way to make kids walk a little under a mile and talk non-stop about their school day 🤣. Beats the heck out of sitting on the couch watching tv or playing video games!!!
