Fox-Hop Rabbitry We are a small Rabbitry located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, focused on breeding Silver Fox rabbits for meat production.

Meat is available as whole carcass. Next processing: June

Weeks review!

Rabbit space got all cleaned up and everyone is happy and content, Spoons (a doe) should be due soon

3 more hens were added to the flock. One cross that got missed and 2 remainder Australorps. Some fighting but they all settled fast with food.

The remainder of the nuisance dirt and rat poo has been removed from the soon to be coop. Next steps are to get the perches up and start working on the dividing wall!

Nothing happened!

The hens did say their offerings were not sufficient and protested with decreased eggs for a short time. I do believe this offering will suffice.

Week in review!

Loony's daughter from 2 litters ago and Doe #3, Nina, did not give birth, our suspension is that she aborted due to issues with her ears about 2 weeks ago.

The Loony litter is doing well in the grow out pen.

Nest boxes were hung and some waste has been removed from the coop-in-progress.

Doe #2 Spoons was bred to Buck #2 Neon and if she took, will be due at the end of May!

The hens continue to lay!

The Loony litter ended up being a little too big and hungry for the big cage and had to get moved into the grow out pen sooner than planned (5 weeks instead of 7 weeks)

Only one escaped, the little brownish one (aka Bonkers) but was found immediately and hasn't escaped since.

With the chickens comes more work! They're currently in a temp coop while I finish cleaning up and fixing things in their (hopefully) soon to be main coop.

An old coop turned storage turned rat party house turned coop.

Getting the wet wood exposed so it can dry out and I can get an idea of what kind of shape it's in was the goal of today. (Wish I had a proper before photo)
