TLDR: Join my garden co-op!
Hi! My family has been growing food for generations. My mom, Connie, is a career horticulturist and raised me around plants. Since we moved to the farm in 2012, we have installed a large greenhouse, fruit trees and brambles, expanded our growing space, and maintained a poultry flock. This year, we’re ready to grow even more.
We are starting a gardening co-op. Day-to-day, a garden needs just minor attention. With just a little more help, we could grow a lot more food. We have identified several activities that go so much quicker with friends. Each task involves labor of varying intensity. We have planned for 6 hour workdays that include lunch, optional hot shower, a tough job, and a fun job.
What are we asking? We’re asking you to join us 1 day per month in exchange for a share of our produce. Is that it? No, we also need for you to take inventory of the fruits and veggies you eat weekly so that we can plant the right amount of food. This includes: salsa, jam, pickles, fresh and frozen produce that you consume.
As a garden co-op member, you are also invited to join our egg co-op and (later this year) meat co-op. We are excited to be expanding our flocks to include chickens, rabbits, ducks and this year geese! As a garden co-op member, you are invited to camp at the farm ANYTIME YOU WANT! We will also be hosting canning and freezing parties during peak harvest season. We would LOVE to share this knowledge with you! We can also help improve what you can grow at home.
I know that shortages and price increases are on everyone’s mind. We can make our community more secure by working together! We will all benefit physically, mentally and socially from working together in the garden.

I just got this email notification about No-Excuse, Early, In-Person Voting in Missouri. Go to your County Clerk's office starting tomorrow, Oct. 22nd. I plan to vote next week. Will you join me?

Starting tomorrow, Oct. 22nd, all registered voters in Missouri can vote early! Why vote early? Well, you just never know when something like a flat tire or a kid home sick from school is going to totally rearrange your day. If something like that happens on November 5th, there’s no make up voting ...

I grew up watching this wonderful actress. I remember her in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, a naughty movie a tween should not see! Dame Maggie, RIP. So many good parts that she always made her own. I can't pick a favorite.

Dame Margaret Natalie Smith CH DBE (28 December 1934 − 27 September 2024) was a British actress. Known for her wit in comedic roles, she had an extensive career on stage and screen over seven decades and was one of Britain's most recognisable and prolific actresses.[1] She received numerous accola...
