Happy Honey Bee Day. Observed the third Saturday in August annually.

I almost missed it.

The day highlights the critical role honey bees play in pollinating approximately one-third of the food we eat and supports awareness of threats facing bee populations.

Out checking a couple hives down by the pond where one was destroyed by a varmint and setting up some game cameras to see what we can spy.

Had to take a minute to vibrate with the hum of the bees and tell them what a good job they are doing.

Did you know…

Sundown with the bees is a good way to end the day.
