The over 21 days of harvest bringing in our seven different varietals, four white and three red, are finally over. The long days that turned into night have now simply turned into the long nights of autumn and winter.

The weather has turned chilly and autumn is definitely in the air. Foggy mornings, sunny days and afternoons, chilly nights. But we have several days of harvest left. Stay tuned.

Today was the first day of crush from our first varietal, the Siegerrebe, which ripened very early thanks to the bright warm summer conditions.

We will finish tomorrow and then it's on to Cabernet Dorsa

The first "hedging" of the vines this year. Pruning away the non-essential leaves and shoots helps provide better nutrients to the actual grapes -- which is after all what produces the w**e.
