Our 2026 introduction is named after Dora Keith from Anne of Avonlea. When Marilla adopts 6 year old twins Davy and Dora, she is described as being very prim, proper and sweet... “an industrious little soul and never happier than when helping in various small tasks.” You’ll love this soft blush, formal decorative that grows about 5.5 feet tall with 5” blooms. She makes lots of blousy flowers on strong stems.

Introducing Idlewild Thistle Tuft…
Our exclusive 2026 introduction is a charming 3” lavender, mini ball with tidy, tightly arranged petals, that create a quilted texture. Every once in a bloom she throws white wolf petals for a touch a magic. She produces lots of stems on a manageable 4.5 foot tall plant and will add sweetness to any bouquet.

Introducing Idlewild Freedom…
In 2023 I had a major snafu with dahlia seed starting and ended up with about 500 extra seedlings than I had room for. So I called up all my flower friends to come rescue them. This one ended up in Tracy’s garden at We both loved it, so I got some tubers back from her to grow it out as well! Now you get to enjoy this gorgeous purple, miniature, formal decorative too. She’s early blooming on a compact plant and so tiny at 2.5-3” she is almoooost a micro.

Of these, the best seed makers are Tiny, Poppet, Kasasagi and Irish Gnome.

I think Tiny, Little Scottie and Irish Gnome are the best show flowers.

Buttercup and Tiny are my favorites for bouquets.

💐 Shipping is the same as last year: $18 flat rate and it’s free to combine add on orders as long as you use the same email address. No coupon code required.
💐 We ship starting 3/15 weather permitting. No, we can’t give you an exact time frame. We finish shipping by the end of April.

I’m not certain my brain has fully come to terms with yesterday’s in person sale yet. But I know for sure that I’m so grateful for this woman. Galena is an incredibly brilliant, hard working and humble person. We pulled off a pretty amazing feat: a two farm sale with 12,000 tubers at the end of January. This time last year I hadn’t even finished dividing yet! We learned so much but overall it came off without a hitch. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us and thank you to our amazing helpers!
FYI this was just the beginning of something much bigger! We have a huge vision for next year to create the largest dahlia convention in the country. So keep your earballs peeled for news… after we’ve had a chance to sleep of course.

Introducing Idlewild Lilac Moon…
Our 2026 introduction is a serene addition to any garden. Lilac Moon is a glowing neutral white with a softly washed lilac blush all the way around. She is one of our top tuber producing seedlings. This miniature, light blend, formal decorative dahlia grows about 5 feet tall in our field and her blooms are about 3” in diameter.
Lilac Moon will be available on our website on Feb 7th at 10am Pacific.

Introducing Idlewild Daybreak…
Our 2026 introduction has been one of our most remarkably consistent bloomers all season long. Daybreak offers a delightful sorbet color blend of pastel peach and glowing lemon. Her form doesn’t fit tidily into a box so she won’t be a great show flower but she is sure to delight in the garden and bouquets. She grows about 5.5 feet high in our field and her blooms are 5-6” in diameter.
