Now that the dog days of summer are here and everyone is thinking about fall, it’s a good time to do a pumpkin crop update. After losing the entire crop in 2024 and 2025 it feels good to say it looks like we have a decent crop coming!! It’s been another annual battle with weeds/fungus/insects but for now it’s safe to say we will be selling pumpkins this fall. We are already seeing a lot of baby pumpkins and the bees are busy pollinating daily. We have over 45 varieties of any shape, size and color imaginable. Stay tuned. 🎃

We had a surprise visitor on the farm Monday! Our friend Tim Thurmer, the owner of Thurmer Seedworks made the long drive from Duluth, Minnesota to meet Jordan in person and look at some crops. He was a little surprised how tough the conditions are here in Georgia for growing corn but thought the corn looked good considering the challenges this growing season. This is our 7th year working with Tim and we appreciate his dedication to offering farmers a good product at a fair price.

Can’t let the day go by without the annual July 4th corn update. Despite another challenging season our 1170GT from Thurmer Seedworks is looking fairly good! It’s crazy how fast it goes through growth stages this time of year. Feels like just the other day it was boot high. 🌽

Rest in peace, Boone ❤️ Yesterday was a tough day on the farm as we lost our beloved Boone dawg. Boone was the first cow Jordan bought when we moved to the farm. He paid just $20 for him from Justin McGahee In 2012 when he was just 2 days old. Boone quickly became the lead cow (steer), farm mascot, trouble maker, and a very gentle 1600 lb pet. He became popular with our friends, family and customers the last 14 years for his silly personality and funny antics. The stories are endless! He truly had the best life a cow could ask for. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Legend.
