We have pigs going to butcher on November 2nd. Let us know if are you interested in pre-ordering half a pig. Details below.
Two pigs are available and we are currently taking pre-orders for whole, or 1/2 pork.
These pigs are Idaho Pasture Pigs. A breed known as grazers that love eating grass, clover, hay and vegetables from the garden while also enjoying their supplemental feed that is Non-GMO and corn free. They are predominantly grazing pigs within our pasture based system and are free to roam and move around without limitations.
Nine Willow Farms premium, pastured pork is not the other white meat! Commercially raised pigs have long been bred for fast growth and lean muscle mass. Older, more traditional breeds (like Kunes, Duroks, and Old Berkshire) are slower growing, but produce a much richer, redder meat. Pasture Pork meat from our farm will be deep pink to red, and marbled throughout with gorgeous, tasty fat. The meat is rich in flavor and high in nutrients, having been raised on our pasture, eating grass and their supplemental feed.
Nine Willow Pork; the tastier, healthier alternative, from our pasture to your fork.
What you need to know: *You are ordering an animal "hanging"; this means it does not come already packaged. You are paying for a Pork, hanging on the rail. You will then have the liberty to choose all your cuts and packaging *Per state regulations, you will pick up at the butcher, Northwest Premium Meats in Nampa, Idaho
We will deliver the pigs to Northwest Premium Meats and will be given a hanging weight by the butcher. This is the weight you will pay from. In addition to what you'll pay Nine Willow Farms for the animal, you will also pay Northwest Premium Meats a harvest fee and 90 cents per lb processing fee, for cut and wrap. It is NOT the take home weight of your packages of meat as there are bones, organs, excess fat, etc.. that will be cut out. You will get to choose how you want all your meat cut up. You can also choose to have your cut cured if you would like for addition fee to the butcher.
