The last two shows have been a pretty great couple of weeks for our family. And honestly, I’m still trying to recover from it all. Between our sheep and the RiverCroft sheep we really got it done.

Henzley and Ryatt worked SO hard with me to make this happen. 28 show sheep is a lot of animals to have on the string. Watching them be a part of all of this is something I’m incredibly proud of.

And then we got to watch some of the lambs and hogs we sold go into the ring. Jason had Highly Commended market hog, Sam had Highly Commended market lamb, Sam went on to have the Grand Champion Market Lamb in the open show, and Parker had the Reserve Champion Market Lamb in the open show. Evie, Allie and Bristol worked hard too, and their projects were right where they needed to be.

We couldn’t be more proud of these kids and the work they continue to put in. Seeing them take animals we bred and raised and make them their own is pretty darn special.

Then onto Windsor Fair…

Two of four ewes pulled as the final four in the final drive for Supreme belonged to us, and

Ryatt’s Lincoln ram Mo was selected Supreme Champion Ram!

We also had an amazing group of kids representing our genetics in the market lamb and market hog shows. Sam had the Grand Champion Market Lamb and Jason had the Grand Champion Market Hog! Both purchased from us this spring!Every single lamb and hog looked their part, and every kid put the work in. Everyone continued to work hard and represent us so well!

That is what means the most to us.

Yes, we’re proud of the banners. We’re proud of the sheep. We’re proud of the genetics we’ve worked so hard to build.

But getting to watch Henzley and Ryatt work beside us, and then watching these kids who bought from us take those animals and succeed with them… that’s the good stuff.

We are exhausted. But we are SO incredibly proud.

Proud of our kids. Proud of our flock. Proud of the families who trust us with their projects. And proud of every single kid who has stepped into that ring with one of our animals and represented us so well.

Two pretty successful fairs. A whole lot of work. A whole lot of memories. And more than anything, a whole lot to be proud of.

Most of the 📸 cred to Bagley Bog Creative CO. Thank you so much!

What a way to kick off the show season

At Bangor State Fair, the three lambs we bred and placed were Champion, Reserve Champion, and Fourth Overall Market Lambs. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do.

I apologize up front as this will be a long post! These wins are especially meaningful because they represent generations of breeding decisions made right here on our farm.

Candy is one of our favorite ewes, out of another one of my true favorites, QFSS Bad N Boujee. These girls were bred by us, come from several generations of our breeding program, and are still actively imprinting on our flock. They have produced several outstanding lambs for us. Candy is like a fine w**e.. keeps getting better with time!

Then there’s Zazzy. She gave us nine incredibly productive years, producing 15 natural lambs and raising even more after taking in countless adoptees. After hanging on longer than we’d like to admit with no bag, we finally made the difficult decision to retire her from our program. Seeing one of her lambs earn Reserve Grand Champion is a pretty special way to honor everything she gave our flock.

And sweet Bombay… she’s the last ewe we have carrying my original Laney line, the line that truly built this dream for me. Laney was my heart sheep and always will be. Bombay’s dam Miss Tequila Rose was the last Laney daughter I got. The night Bombay was born, for hours I rolled around on the ground pregnant trying to get a set of stuck lambs out, before Frank demanded it was time to bring her to the ER. We got two barely alive lambs we nursed back to health and Dr Scott Morey told me he thought her uterus tore in the process. Unfortunately he was right.. A week later we lost our beloved Rosey. Meaning Bombay and her twin brother Cuervo became the first bottle lambs Frank and I had in the house together as a couple. This makes her even a little more special to me. So needless to say seeing Bombay’s lamb recognized in the ring really put a smile on my face!

We’re so proud of these ewe families we’ve worked hard to build the foundation of our flock, the lambs they’ve produced, and the buyers who trust our program enough to put in the work to make these genetics shine.

Congratulations to Jace, Josie, and Logan. We love being part of the journey from beginning to end, making the breeding decisions, raising them, feeding them, coaching our buyers, and then celebrating moments like these together.

And finally, thank you to the incredible buyers who support these 4-H market animals each year. You complete the circle, from breeder, to exhibitor, to buyer, and your support makes it possible for these kids to continue their projects year after year. We truly couldn’t be successful producers without your roles.

Keep your eyes peeled because this is just the beginning of the season.

Just a quick check in with all of our buyers show season is coming up fast! Now is a great time to touch base about your lamb and hog projects so we can help make any adjustments while there’s still time for them to count.

As you get ready, be sure to review your checklist: Have your buyer letters gone out? Are your processing dates scheduled? Is your paperwork in order, and are you keeping up with daily exercise, fitting, and ring practice? A little preparation now goes a long way.

We’re proud to stand behind every project we sell and are always here to help. Don’t hesitate to call or message, we love following your progress and helping you succeed all the way to the show ring!

Our buyers are off to an incredible start at a few early shows this year!

Congratulations to Asa on exhibiting the Grand Champion Market Lamb at NELE and to Jace on exhibiting the Grand Champion Market Lamb at the Pittston Fair. Jace was our 2026 Project lamb recipient! We couldn’t be more proud of these exhibitors and the hard work they’ve put in.

Be sure to follow along, we have a feeling this is just the beginning, and there are many more wins to come this season!

Time to switch gears…

We’re coming off a strong lamb selling season, and now all eyes are on the hogs, and this set is one you do NOT want to miss.

If you’ve been even thinking about showing a market hog this year, this is your sign. You NEED to see this group in person. The quality runs deep, and the consistency from top to bottom is as good as we’ve ever had.

Over the last few years, our hogs have hung plenty of banners, Champions and Reserves. But to be completely honest… This is the most impressive set we’ve put together yet!

We’re dropping a little sneak peek of a couple that we really, really like, and they’re just the tip of the iceberg. And here’s the best part,
These aren’t clipped, washed, or dressed up sale pictures. Just a real everyday pen shot.

📅 Sale Date: April 18th

Whether you’re chasing banners, building a competitive project, or just want one that feeds and performs the right way, this is the kind that gets it done.

Don’t wait until sale day to get serious, reach out, come look, and let’s get you set up for a big summer.

We just want to take a moment and say THANK YOU to every single buyer who believed in our program and invested in this set. It means more to us than you know. These aren’t just transactions to us, they’re relationships, and we are truly excited to walk alongside you through the upcoming show season.

Our job doesn’t stop today.
We’re here for you, whether that’s feeding, showmanship, daily questions, or anything in between. We’re looking forward to mentoring, helping, and doing everything we can to see you succeed in the ring.

The biggest thank you to Kayla and JT, we couldn’t have done this without you. The sale ran as smoothly as it did because of your help. We appreciate you more than we can say!

Like any growing program, we’re always learning. We already have a list of things to improve for next year as we continue to figure out and refine our sale process. That’s part of building something the right way.

We’ll keep saying it. We are incredibly grateful for the support, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come.

But to be honest.. we’re even more excited about where we’re going. The vision is big, and we’re just getting started.

Thank you all again. Let’s go to work this show season.

This picture is a true representation of how we all felt as it came to an end today.
