Just a quick check in with all of our buyers show season is coming up fast! Now is a great time to touch base about your lamb and hog projects so we can help make any adjustments while there’s still time for them to count.

As you get ready, be sure to review your checklist: Have your buyer letters gone out? Are your processing dates scheduled? Is your paperwork in order, and are you keeping up with daily exercise, fitting, and ring practice? A little preparation now goes a long way.

Our buyers are off to an incredible start at a few early shows this year!

Congratulations to Asa on exhibiting the Grand Champion Market Lamb at NELE and to Jace on exhibiting the Grand Champion Market Lamb at the Pittston Fair. Jace was our 2026 Project lamb recipient! We couldn’t be more proud of these exhibitors and the hard work they’ve put in.

Be sure to follow along, we have a feeling this is just the beginning, and there are many more wins to come this season!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to postpone our judging event and pig sale scheduled for this Saturday.

Time to switch gears…

We’re coming off a strong lamb selling season, and now all eyes are on the hogs, and this set is one you do NOT want to miss.

If you’ve been even thinking about showing a market hog this year, this is your sign. You NEED to see this group in person. The quality runs deep, and the consistency from top to bottom is as good as we’ve ever had.

Over the last few years, our hogs have hung plenty of banners, Champions and Reserves. But to be completely honest… This is the most impressive set we’ve put together yet!

We just want to take a moment and say THANK YOU to every single buyer who believed in our program and invested in this set. It means more to us than you know. These aren’t just transactions to us, they’re relationships, and we are truly excited to walk alongside you through the upcoming show season.

Our job doesn’t stop today.
We’re here for you, whether that’s feeding, showmanship, daily questions, or anything in between. We’re looking forward to mentoring, helping, and doing everything we can to see you succeed in the ring.

The biggest thank you to Kayla and JT, we couldn’t have done this without you. The sale ran as smoothly as it did because of your help. We appreciate you more than we can say!

Like any growing program, we’re always learning. We already have a list of things to improve for next year as we continue to figure out and refine our sale process. That’s part of building something the right way.

We’ll keep saying it. We are incredibly grateful for the support, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come.

But to be honest.. we’re even more excited about where we’re going. The vision is big, and we’re just getting started.

We are officially ONE WEEK away from sale day and this set is coming in HOT. This is a group we are truly proud of, quality from top to bottom and built to go out and make some serious noise this season.

Remember the set we sold in 2025?
They went on to win 15+ Champions & Reserves, with even more landing in the Top 4.
That’s the kind of quality we’re bringing back, and we truly believe this set is right there with them.

Looking ahead
Our Market Hog Sale is set for April 18th, and we’ve got something exciting in the works before that.

We’re teaming up with University of Maine Cooperative Extension to host a Livestock Judging Evaluation Event right here on the farm! This will be a great opportunity for 4-H’ers to learn, practice, and sharpen their evaluation skills before the season kicks into full swing.
