🌟Meet the founders of Rae-Dan Family Farm - Jim & Emily Jarrard. Affectionately known by most as “Bones & Em”. They met at a BBQ and roping on David Rainey's farm in the 80’s. David & the Rainey family were important folks in shaping Bones into the person he is and Bones was a regular at the roping pen in those days. Emily just happened to be there with a friend & has always had a soft spot in her heart for a “long legged cowboy” (Bones is 6’6 if you didn’t know 😉). Bones introduced himself to Emily that night & the rest is history.

While raising their family Bones and Emily worked hard to develop a small beef farm in the Grove Community of Starr, SC, where they have lived all of their married life. The pair have two children, Rachel and Daniel (hence the name Rae-Dan). 🩵💙

Their son, Daniel Jarrard, went to live with Jesus unexpectedly on May 5, 2007, but there is no part of Rae- Dan Farm Daniel did not leave his mark on. Daniel was a cattleman wise beyond his years & loved the hard working lifestyle of the family farm. 🚜💙

Rachel, the oldest child, married Kaleb Shore. Kaleb & Rachel have three children (Danni Rae, Drue Ann, & Drake. The “D” names honoring Daniel) & have built their dream home on Rae-Dan Farm. Kaleb & Rachel have worked hard to help expand Rae-Dan Farm adding honey bees and “Easter egg colored” farm fresh eggs to the fresh local beef already produced at Rae-Dan Farm. 🐝🪺🥩

Bones & Em are an example of hard-work & putting Christ first in a marriage. Both work full time in Anderson School District 3 & work just as hard on Rae-Dan Farm. To know them is to love them!
