We've had a beautiful, busy spring so far - lots of dreaming, planning, and hard work has gone into bringing this all to life. I spend my days feeling incredibly blessed by, and sometimes in awe of, this life that in many ways continues to exceed all my childhood dreams or expectations.

🪚Spent some time trying out a few different cedar box sizes to better fit the soil blocks - found a winner on the third try

🌻 We're prepping for our own version of a three sisters garden - growing mammoth sunflowers in place of the corn, along with our squashes, beans, and as many pollinator pretties as I can fit in there

☀️ All the warm season starts are in their blocks and quickly outgrowing our indoor space, so many are now happily out in the tunnel

🥦 The cool season veggies, onions, and carrots are all thriving, along with some local wildlife that hopefully stays friendly 🐸🦎🐞

All the cool season veggies are in the ground! I also managed to get the carrots in, and finished up today with the potatoes. I'll be cleaning up the seed starting shelves this coming week to make room for the last round of warm season crop seeds.

It's currently 88 degrees in our high tunnel - perfect opportunity to get the cool weather babies out into the "wild" in preparation for pickup and planting next week!

Do we need 800 onions for 2 people? No.
Do I think all 800 will make it to harvest? Also no.

I believe we'll be looking for all the ways to preserve onions in 100 days 😂

I love nearly every part of growing my own plants from seed, and preparing the starting mix is one of them! It's messy work but a few hours playing in the dirt is a great way to spend a Saturday.
