Job Opportunity: Feed Mill Operator – Join Our Team!
Location: State Center, Iowa
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (rotating weekends)
Starting Wage: $20/hour (negotiable based on experience)

Job Overview:
As a Feed Mill Operator, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality feed for our swine farm, helping ensure optimal nutrition, feed safety, and consistent supply for the animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain feed mixing and grinding equipment
Load and unload bulk ingredients (corn, soybean meal, supplements)
Monitor feed quality and consistency during mixing and batching
Keep accurate records of feed formulations, inventory, and production
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of mill equipment and workspaces
Follow safety and biosecurity protocols at all times
Assist with general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Collaborate with farm staff to meet daily feed requirements
Requirements:
Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
Comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and fast-paced setting
Mechanically inclined and attentive to detail
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Willing to work rotating weekends (every other weekend)
Previous feed mill, ag manufacturing, or swine industry experience is a plus, but not required
Important Hiring Information:

Compensation & Benefits:
Starting wage of $20/hour – negotiable depending on experience
Note: Housing, utilities, and health insurance are provided, but the value of these benefits is deducted from the hourly wage
Extra pay available for electrical, welding, or mechanical repair skills
