P&M Family Produce is a family-run farm and farm stand in Statham, Georgia. We pride ourselves on being able to provide fresh, natural produce, seedlings, and products to our local community. All of our plants are grown, by hand, from seed, and only use organic, natural methods of pest control to keep our produce naturally pesticide-free. We keep honeybees to help pollinate our plants, create deli
cious honey, and preserve the local honeybee population. This is another reason why we do not use any pesticides in maintaining our farm. Our produce comes in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes you won’t find at your local grocery store! Plants are perfectly imperfect, and so are the homegrown fruits and veggies that you’ll find at our stand. Although some vegetables aren’t “picture perfect” - they are delicious and we invite you to try them. About Our Chickens:
Whenever you visit our stand, you might notice our chickens out free ranging. We raise our chickens as naturally as possible ensuring that our eggs are hormone-free, antibiotic-free, and steroid free. Our girls love free ranging and only go up at night to protect themselves from predators. Our hens are Golden Comets and Speckled Sussex varieties that lay gorgeous brown eggs. Our History:
In 2007, father-son duo Mike and Phillip began a hobby garden in their backyard in suburban Georgia. The entire family became involved and realized we all had green thumbs. Community cornerstone Emmitt Reid (lovingly known as Paw Paw) and his son, Danny Reid, graciously lent us a 3-acre plot to expand into for many years. In 2013, Phillip moved to Statham, Georgia after graduating from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and began the farm you see today.
