I am SUPER behind on messages today and I apologize. I have been feeling pretty sick all weekend and I’ve been running back and forth all over the place trying to get non chicken related things done. Half my chickens are broody and molting, the other half are laying like crazy. 🤪 I have an overwhelming amount of stuff on my plate this month and im really struggling to get through it. Please show me some grace and I will be responding to all messages tomorrow. Thank you. ❤️ enjoy a very chaotic photo of a new coop build and some of its residents checking it out.

Let's see all the ways breeders have been judged over the years I've been here. (Just in terms of selling)

Price cheap: you're undercutting the breeders and devaluing everyones hard work.

Price too high: you're greedy and trying to take advantage of people.
(There is no middle ground here because every price falls in the too cheap/too expensive bracket)

First come first serve: not fair because people can't live on their phones and doesn't give the people with jobs a chance.

Post and sell publicly: get reported

Post and sell privately: youre being sketchy and purposely not selling to the person complaining

Waiting list: take too long.

Raffle: not fair because everyone doesnt win.

Auction: not fair because they go too expensive etc and everyone doesn't win.

So finally, we just stop selling to save ourselves the headache and get labeled "gatekeepers"!!

And sadly there is many many more!

How can we sell to all the hundreds upon hundreds of people wanting our stock? It seems no matter what someone does, someone who didn't get the bird they wanted is going to be upset.

You can literally just exist in your happy land with your chickens and get judged.

There’s a lot of drama going around in the chicken world and sometimes the negativity can be overwhelming. I’m just here to remind you that there are MANY wonderful breeders who love their birds and do everything we can to help new chicken tenders in their journey. There are amazing people with huge hearts that will go above and beyond because they love their birds and have a passion for getting other people into this hobby. Just because someone screams the loudest doesn’t mean they are the only person in the room. ❤️✨🐣

Very nice up and coming black mottled cockerel. True black mottled. Does not carry chocolate or lavender. Pin feathers everywhere. Nice width. Perfect feet with excellent toe spacing. No faults noted. Give him some time to grow and he is going to be stunning. My lines. Roughly 4.5 months. Local pickup $175, shipped $250
