Just a little over 3 gallons of milk today! None of the does freshened this year. The girls are all in different stages of lactation, ranging from 1½ to 4½ years in milk, including several first fresheners.
Even without hay, grain, or any kind of alfalfa, and without milking on a strict schedule, I still have plenty of milk for my members, my family, and enough to make chèvre several times a week.
I just love my does!! ❤️
