Are you ready? If winter wasn’t long enough, the wait for the wine trail is finally here. The trail launched March 1 and we already have several visitors that have had their passports stamped.

We designed this trail to be accomplished in a few days, so you can relax in the valley.

Completed passports can be dropped by the last tasting room visited or Above Ground Winery. We’ll have a drop box outside of the tasting room if we’re not open.

Visitors will receive a free wine tasting card for completing the trail. Present the card at any of the participating wineries on the trail to continue experiencing the greatness of this hidden gem through December 31, 2026. The passport is valid through November 30, 2026.

One winner will be selected and notified by email and phone. Participants will receive recognition with their first name and last initial in our media and promotion. The grand prize will be a two-night stay at a participating accommodation partner.

Visitors are encouraged to submit photos of your experience on the trail because, well… its just makes us happy. Take photos with your friends, the winery owners and staff, the sights you see, where you stay and yes, and what you're savoring.

See you on the trail!

Passports may be picked up at Ox-Eye Vineyards Tasting Room in downtown Staunton, Above Ground Winery in Middlebrook, or Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery in Raphine.

Note: Jump Mountain is still operating on winter hours. Those visiting the Virginia Wine Expo in Richmond can get their passport stamped at Twisted Pines Farm & Vineyard

Tomorrow’s the day! The Wine Trail Passport officially uncorks on March 1 — and you have until November 30 to sip your way through all seven participating wineries. Visit each winery, two participating partners, collect your stamps, receive a special “thank you” gift, and you’ll also be entered to win the Grand Prize: a weekend getaway at one of our lodging partners. Not bad for doing what you already love.

What makes this trail different? It’s more than wine. Along the way you’ll find welcoming accommodations, distinctive local businesses, and the Augusta County Historical Society ready to help you explore the rich stories woven into this landscape. History, hospitality, and handcrafted wine — all in one beautifully connected experience. You’ll find trail details, historical highlights, and everything you need to plan your trip right on our website.

And here’s the best part: you can complete the entire trail in one unforgettable weekend. So close the laptop, pack an overnight bag, and point yourself toward the most breathtaking stretch of the Shenandoah Valley. Your next adventure is waiting — and it starts tomorrow.
