Hard to believe it’s the last weekend of August. Here’s what you will find at Shomo Fresh Market - sweeet corn, YELLOW and RED seedless watermelon, a variety of tomatoes, shelled Lima beans, green beans, Roma beans, beets, Kennebec potatoes, zucchini, squash, cucumbers, Candy onions, butternut and spaghetti squash, peppers, jalapeño peppers, Summer Rambo apples and Amish and blackberry honey butter. Want to have the best 🌽 this winter? Here is the Shomo Fresh Market recommendation:
1. Cut off 1 gallon of kernels.
2. Cook the kernels with one stick of butter until you start seeing the juices form on low-medium heat.
3. Cool. Place corn in freezer ziplock bags. Lay flat on a baking sheet (place wax paper or parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking. Freeze
4. Reheat by adding butter and you will taste the best corn in the cold winter months.
