Check out our hatch from this week! We had received shipped eggs from T&M Sumatras to bring in some of their beautiful black Ameraucanas from their show line. And we also had a wonderful hatch from our eggs with Silverrudds, Ameraucanas, Black Copper Marans & our BBS Marans!

Ok yall I am absolutely loving the BBS Marans!! They are such an adorable hatch and come in Black, blue and splash! I am 100% a sucker for the splash marans! These are a few of mine and most are from Hidden Acre Hens. Her chicks are so calm & chunky, I can’t wait to watch them grow!

A beautiful dozen plus extras that went out today, because why not 💁🏻‍♀️ The ladies are definitely on the verge of a full fledged break. So unfortunately there will probably be no more egg drops til spring time. Which is fine because they have been good to me this year and have laid well since February. Our new layers should start laying in a few weeks so we’ll have lots more to talk about and sort out who’s staying (and with who they’ll be paired with) and who will be looking for new pastures.

Who’s your favorite egg & who’s still looking for layers?

A super cool Happy Birthday box I got to send out this past week. It’s always rewarding to do something kind for someone else, just because 💕 But just because we’re adults and “don’t celebrate” our birthdays anymore doesn’t mean we shouldn’t feel special on our birthday. 💕
