Tour of the coops. Far side (where the grass is tall) will eventually be 2 more coops & another brooder/growout. In the back will also be 2 more breeding pens (for a total of 4). Everyone is hooked up to the same water system (haven't connected the rooster pen yet) which is so nice.

This is my chicken feed.

Carolina pride crazy 8 scratch
Mini alfalfa pellets
Whole roasted soybeans
Fish meal
Vitamin balancer
A bit of molasses to bind the powders

I feed once a day. Roughly 1/4 lb per bird. I use trough feeders so all the birds can eat at once. I don't give free choice feed or they would sort feed and only eat their favorites. By feeding a daily ration it ensures the birds are getting the full nutritional content.

Shipped welsummer eggs. After doing lots of 📚 decided to go with the egg carton method. So far looks like all but one is developing & I broke one while candling (was developing :-( ). Can't wait they are set to hatch next weekend.
