Our Story
Misty Valley Farm is a family owned and operated Grass Fed/Grass Finished Beef Farm. After years of conventional farming (feeding grain to finish cattle), research and necessary changes to our diet-- prompted by chronic health issues-- led us to Grass Fed/Grass Finished Farming. While we were skeptical at first, our family has experienced the difference in taste, quality and health benefits first hand. Our cows are eating a natural diet that their systems recognize, and in turn, so are we. We have never been comfortable, or happy, in giving any less than our best. That's why we have invested the time, money and commitment in farming this way. While it's certainly easier to pour the cows some grain, the extra time it takes to supply them with an endless buffet of wholesome grass feed is well worth it . . . we are farming the way nature intended. If you have been contemplating trying Grass-Fed/Grass Finished Beef (and never any grain!), we encourage you to do so. We did; and we've never looked back!
