Sucky part of farming- we just lost a sheep. No idea why- bloat, weird pregnancy (couldn’t feel a baby with a pelvis exam but colostrum in her udder), whatever else🤷🏻‍♀️

We have been watching her all day doing our best to assist but to no avail.

Turns out it was a twisted uterus- she had triplets 🥹

Today was random clean the chicken coop day. I surprised 4 chickens trying to lay in the same place. I finished cleaning and adding fresh shavings and two piled back in. The fluffy orange chicken is our broody hen I get to kick off the eggs to get them. She waits patiently for everyone else to give her their eggs.

We went out to feed and had a surprise baby! She didn’t show any signs as she was still nursing her teenager ewe. Now we have an all white ewe to add to the herd. She is a great mom.

Who needs a guard dog if you have guard sheep? My babies aren’t babies anymore. They eat feed, grass, and hay but they still live for their twice a day bottles. When not eating they can be found on the front stoop hanging out.

I think we are confused on the appropriate solid food. But at least he is trying! He was the first to drink from the water bowl.
