Gerald and I use to raise & show
Boer Goats then we added Market Wethers & Does to the mix. Will & Wyatt Gliddon walked in the ring many a time. Alas they moved on to Football & Baseball.
We decided to sell out and go into
Dorpers. That has been a great decision for us. Our focus is Meat now.
They’re so much easier to raise.
Easier to Lamb and we aren’t having to doctor them all the time nor help them Lamb. No heads stuck in fences or crooks of trees. No escape artists. 🤣

This group of young Ewes are our 2026 girls we held over.
The big guy is new to Blue Top Farm.
We’re raising for meat so he fits the bill.
I favor black heads but that doesn’t necessarily put meat on the table all the time.
