A year ago we started a flock to use and sell a variety of chicken and duck eggs! Mid year, a predator wiped out most of our chickens and ducks and it was heartbreaking. After a break and some reinforcements, we’ve been growing our flock back and are awaiting maturity of chicken and ducks! Stay tuned. This takes time. As far as the bakery, I will not do as much right now until my toddler is a little older🩷. I am only baking upon request at the moment!

🍞!TAKING ORDERS!🍞

Finally!!! My first bakery item I’m adding to the menu.
Something I can make that is perfect and delicious that I can actually sell! (Because it’s so yummy!)

It’s 80% buckwheat and %20 unbleached bread flour. Both are organic. Made with sourdough starter.

Extra large loaf. (I need to post a pic of that!)

Now this one, is amazing! I absolutely love the deep flavor of B U C K W H E A T. Not only is it my husband’s “favorite loaf I’ve ever made”, it has a TON of lysine! A very important amino acid for immune and tissue health! Just consider this one of your supplements.

Did you know that buckwheat is also gluten free?! Which means that this loaf is 80% gluten free! (I use %20 unbleached organic bread flour) The best part is, you’d never be able to tell! Besides the fact that it doesn’t bloat you!

Feels so good in your belly. Warms the soul. Heals the heart. Makes you strong. Who doesn’t want to love buckwheat?

🥣My days sometimes consist of testing recipes and techniques, the fundamentals of starting a bakery side business! 

🍔My favorite by far are hamburger buns/ dinner rolls. I love making little buns they’re like mini sourdough round loaves but soft! And they come out perfect!

🌭The hotdog buns/ breadsticks were so fun. I need to work on consistency of shape but they were great eatin!

🍞The “gluten sensitive” loaf was surprisingly great! I didn’t know how this would turn out. But my gluten sensitive child loved it and I think I might add it to the menu. (Sourdough starter is not gluten free but due to the chemistry of gluten breaking down it is so much easier on tummy, also the other flour mixed in is gluten free.)
