Nobody knows their names yet. They won’t win anything for a few years. But every decision we make today, from the mares we keep to the way we handle them, is planting something for later.

Feeding before daylight, checking cattle in the cold, riding the young ones when it'd be easier to stay in. Most of what makes a good horse happens where nobody's watching.

We don’t have any futurity horses this year, and we’re alright with that.

Some horses are ready early and some need more time. We’d rather give a horse the miles he needs than push him to hit a date on the calendar. The ones that get that time are usually the ones that last.

Our day is coming. We’ll keep putting in the work until it does. 👊🏻

You have to trust him to do his part, because if he doesn't, you're the one in a bind. That trust comes from hours in the saddle, and there's no shortcut to it. That's why our horses don't just get arena time. They get real ranch work, and it makes them better at whatever comes next.👊🏻
