This is a staple in my household! I make it almost every week. Itā€™s also kid friendly and heats up great as leftovers as well. You can also use different cheeses as well in the cheese sauce! šŸ§€

Hereā€™s a dinner idea thatā€™s budget friendly & quick to put together after a busy day!

Below is the cost breakdown from Aldi (except my homemade sauce)

Half block mozzarella cheese: $.97
2 packages of cheese tortellini: $4.18
French baguette: $1.95
1 pint jar of my homemade sauce: (approx $.80 to make a pint)
Grand total of $7.90

* A 23 oz jar of sauce from Aldi is $2.09 , so a pint is almost half that- so you can still technically make this for $8 or a tiny bit more.

Friday is my fridge clean out dayā€¦ no waste in our kitchen! Leftover meals are good for a month in the freezer (or longer depending) as long as they were made fresh within the last few days. These are great for my husband to heat up for lunch at work or an easy lunch for me and the kids at home. I use a toxic free paint marker to label the lids, it washes right off in the sink with hot soap and water.
