We are at the Homestead Expo in Wasilla this weekend. It is open to the public tomorrow. Come check it out, meet your farmer, and get a free shirt when you put in a chicken deposit for this year!

Just one more week to get your lamb! The lamb harvest only comes around once a year and, if you haven't tried it, it is unlike any other meat you have had. Our St. Croix sheep make for a mild and lean meat that is fit for the most memorable meals of your year whether it be a holiday feast or just an ordinary meal made special by this unique and delightful protein.

When you order through us, we will work with you to get the meat processed and we will deliver it to your door, all included in the price.

We are getting ready to harvest lambs and we still have several available! We raise a heritage breed called St. Croix and they are known for their lean, delicate meat. From the lamb enthusiast to the newcomer, this lamb will show you just how good meat can be!

All our lambs are raised on pasture and moved once a day through the summer. They are grass fed and grass finished on hay from our own farm. This is the cleanest healthiest meat you can get and it packs amazing flavor that will make for the most memorable meals of the year.

You can buy them in half or whole carcasses, we will work with you to get it processed, and then we will deliver it right to your door--all included in the price ($20/lb dressed, hanging weight).

It was a big day for us and we are just getting in for the night. The first batch of chicks are now on pasture, a new batch of chicks and turkey poults are in the brooders, and another set of lamb triplets were born!

We had our second batch of triplets today! 🎉 The lambs are looking really good this year and the moms are all doing fantastic. I'm looking forward to getting them all out on pasture!

We have welcomed 7 lambs so far and another momma, Tekla, is in early labor now! The lambing jugs are full and everyone is happy and healthy!

The first lambs of the season just arrived! Twins from a rock star mom!

It is so cool to live through the cycle of new life, all the way to harvest, and be back to new life. It is like balm to the soul.

First chicks of the year are in the brooder! There are still a couple of days left to get your preorders in if you haven't already. We have had a really great response this year, so thank you to all our preorder-ers!

There is one week left to preorder chickens for this year! We of course will have chicken available for sale on a first-come-first-serve basis after our preorders are filled, but here are a couple of really great reasons to preorder:

1. Preordering helps your local farm (that's us!) get over the hurdle of spring startup costs (which are tremendous)!
2. There is a particular satisfaction in knowing that your farmer is raising your chickens ... come to think of it, it is particularly satisfying for us also to know that we are raising chicken specifically for you!

We are down to just one rack of chicken in the freezer from last seasons harvest! We won't have more available until July, so now is a good time to get some delicious, Alaska pasture-raised chicken before we are out.

We also have duck and some turkey left, grab it while it lasts!
