We just published something we think the design and architecture community needs to read.

Frameless glass w**e cellars are one of the most requested features in high-end residential design right now. In humid climates they are creating a problem the industry needs to talk about openly.

A w**e cellar on the "move" is just as critical as the build itself. We just wrapped up this custom design-build project in Alexandria, VA, and today is officially move-in day for the client's extensive collection.

These cases are being relocated from their previous cellar in McLean to our latest completed project. Huge shoutout to the team at UOVO for managing the logistics and transport. While they handle the heavy lifting in climate-controlled transit, we’re onsite in Alexandria ensuring the custom racking, millwork, and cooling systems are calibrated and ready for prime time.

"Architectural Detail" is the only way to describe this stunning 2018 Georgetown project. 🏛️🍷

This Washington, DC custom w**e cellar remains a firm favorite of ours, not just for its capacity (holding over 3,000 bottles!), but for the sheer harmony of the design.

It was a privilege to work within the incredible framework designed by . Their vision allowed our cellar design team to push the limits of high-capacity storage—utilizing engineered triple and double-deep racks—without ever sacrificing the aesthetic.

With at the helm of the buildout, every single detail was executed to perfection. From the custom display shelves to the intricate racking, this project is a true testament to what happens when architecture, construction, and millwork align. 🤝✨

Merry Christmas from the team at Classic Cellar Design!

We're celebrating the season with an exclusive first look at one of our most complex w**e cellar lighting achievements of 2025. Nicknamed the "Xmas Tree “ project, this build proves that a world-class w**e cellar is about more than just storage-it's about atmosphere. Behind that festive glow is a massive technical feat. To bring this vision to life, we integrated:

87 Precision LED Strips
10 Low voltage Dimmers
4 Led 24Volt Transformers
..and countless schematics to ensure every bottle is perfectly illuminated.
While we used a little Al holiday magic to add the greenery for this post, the craftsmanship underneath is 100% real. We are currently putting the final touches on this masterpiece.

The Grand Reveal: Watch for the full unveiling and stocking in Q1 2026.
