One of my favorite garden beds this year turned out to be the one that I transplanted & seeded random things into - because the soil was healthier than the surrounding beds. Some plants were rescued from beds completely taken over by crabgrass.

Why was it healthier?? Well I...
-overwintered Nigella in it so
-it had roots in the soil compared to the surrounding, bare soil beds
-when the Nigella was done blooming, I mowed it instead of pulling the whole plant which
-fed the microorganisms & bugs in the soil so that
-the soil would be healthy, fertile, and weed-free for the next plants!!

Can you feel the love? These two have a special kind of magical love that was reflected so beautifully on their wedding day.

I love when a couple's special day is so unique to them - and the guests can feel it too. Smiles all around.

The bride is an old co-worker and friend of mine. I was so honored to craft the wedding florals for her. I cherish when a connection from one place in life carries into another, and I don't take that for granted!

This bride had such a fun vision for her wedding day at Mt View Orchards Weddings & Gatherings !

She first reached out over a year ago and we collaborated back and forth the whole time. She is an herbalist and wanted herbs to be a part of her florals. We used dill, sage, and oregano throughout her florals and installations, and it smelled heavenly! Kudos to her for wanting to play with colors & wildflowers too - it turned out glorious.

Congratulations to the incredible new couple & I wish you nothing but love from here on out.
