Our last competition of the season has come to an end. Today was another mix with a 16th place in chicken, 8th in dessert and 3rd with our cocktail submission (earning another trophy and check). We loved seeing so many familiar faces who came out to support us! A HUGE shout out to Billy and Michele who always show up and help us all weekend! Congratulations to all the winners!

Today was a mix for us, coming in 6th in Turkey and 5th on Mayor's Choice Appetizer. We tried some new things with chicken and ribs that didn't pan out, but that is what this hobby is all about! Tomorrow, we try again with chicken and ribs, going back to our original recipe. We will also have an entry in the dessert and cocktail categories.

Side note, today reminded us of why we participate in these contests - the people you meet. Robert, who is freshly 5 years old, was quite the young man and such a pleasure to chat with (as were his parents). So, this picture is for you, Robert! We will be sure to display it proudly!

Thank you for another great carnival week! Of course, this would not be possible without so many who helped - from slicing meat to prepping, serving, setting up, and helping customers, we appreciate the dedicated volunteers! There is no rest, as we prep for the next competition at Smoke on the Rail next weekend!

Attention Stewartstown

It appears the storms will be moved through the area by 5pm.

With that being said the parade is being postponed until 5pm. If the storms are still in the area, another announcement will be made.

It’s the last night here at The Stewartstown Carnival. We have been dodging the rain and storms all morning and hopefully that will continue through the evening. The smoker is getting warmed up and we will be serving pit beef, ham and turkey for everyone that will brave this crazy weather. FYI, please bear with us, we are trying to prepare the right amount of meat for the possible weather and crowd. Parade starts at 4:30pm and we will start serving meat a few minutes afterwards.
