Tomorrow my cinnamons leave me. They will be going to their new forever home with a great family!
I was so impressed with the quality and size of these birds despite their genetics giving them a hard time. Mine were from Thieving Otter Farm and a covey full life

One of my customers for my final orders told me that the box of eggs that got stuck during a heatwave weekend still managed to hatch 11 chicks so far!

We both didn’t have high hopes due to being delayed for 5 days in 90s heat or higher, who knows how hot those warehouses get.

I wanted to share this to inspire others to not give up and toss a box of eggs if they are delayed, summer or not. Incubate till there is no debate!

Yesterday, I parted with a few beloved lines. I am not going to reveal who they are with out of respect of their privacy. They can reveal it if they wish. 😉

They are in much more capable hands and will help the community with research in regard to these genetics.

It was a fun 3 years.

It’s too hot for the birds in the building. I have started to move them out under tree shade.

They’re really enjoying the pool I provided to help them cool down.

I want to apologize to those whose packages got caught up in the delay last week. I am not sure what conditions or ambient they were left in during the delay.

I never had issues with UPS before, it was definitely bad luck with it being due on Friday and then delayed through the weekend.

Now that shipments are done, I have put the cinnamon group into their “retirement” cage.

They are due to go to their new family but for the meantime they are getting double the leg room and a permanent sand bath. Plus all the shade a red eyed cinnamon could want. 😎

Last of my orders going out.

With this I am out of the quail business.

I will be rehoming most of my birds starting today. The only group I will keep for myself will be my jumbo calico ginger project for personal use. I may show here and there what they look like.
