A little piece of Bonnie Brook Farm history found its way home.

Recently, a visitor stopped by with a wonderful surprise: an old real-estate brochure for our home, listed then as “Bonniebrook Farm.” The black-and-white photographs offer a remarkable glimpse of the property decades ago—from the front of the house beneath its towering trees to the terrace, pool, and beautifully appointed rooms inside.

Long before this brochure was printed, the property was built for Peter Wintermute, the oldest son of John George Wintermute. The Wintermute family’s story is woven into the history of this place, which was also the site of Sussex County’s first fulling mill.

We are grateful that this piece of local history was saved and shared with us. Seeing these images reminds us that a home holds so many stories—and we feel lucky to be part of the next chapter at Bonnie Brook Farm.

We are excited to announce the proposed resolution by the Stillwater Township Committee to appoint our friend and fellow member of the Historical Society of Stillwater Township, William Andrew Martin, as the official Stillwater Township Historian. This recognition is well deserved. If you have ever been to Andy's well attended Bicentennial Series lectures or attended a tour of our Grist Mill, you will agree. We want to thank the Stillwater Township Committee especially Mayor Lisa Chammings for making this happen. It is moments like these that gives us hope for the future of Stillwater. Thank you all and a big heartfelt congratulations to Andy!
