The January chicken of the month is the remarkable Marvise, the stunning black Americana. She's the proud granddaughter of Mr. Pennycuff. Her father is a unique blend of a blue Cochin and black Jersey Giant, and her mother is an Americana.

After much debate the winner of the chicken of the award goes to the blue Cochin rooster, Mr. Pennycuff. Our oldest rooster, and the father or grandfather to most of our hybrid chickens.
