American Agri-Women is the nation’s largest coalition of farm, ranch and agribusiness women with more than fifty state, commodity and agribusiness affiliate organizations throughout the country. It is an all-volunteer organization, working to advocate for agriculture since 1974. Throughout the history of AAW, our members have been actively involved and making a difference in legislative and regula
tory matters at the local, state, and national levels. They have also been instrumental in student and consumer education about agriculture, having initiated the Agriculture in the Classroom program at the national level are integrally involved in national and state programs still today. The purpose of Oklahoma Agri-Women (OAW) is to unite women in all segments of the Oklahoma food, fiber and agriculture industry having mutual concerns. To keep OAW members informed of legislation that is of concern to Oklahoma's agriculture industry while remaining nonpartisan. As well as, to educate consumers, elected officials and the general public about the importance of agriculture to Oklahoma's economy and environment.
