a Winegrowers Cooperative acquired Northern Vineyards as a means of making and selling wines from the grapes produced by our grower members. We were the first wine cooperative in the United States and the only one of the local wineries. Our members’ vineyards are located throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Robin Partch, our winemaker and manager, came on board in 1989 and has been producing award winning wines ever since.

Farewell Friends,

We are crushed that there will be no harvest this year, as after 41 years on Main Street, Stillwater, Northern Vineyards Winery is closing on November 3rd.

We will miss our regular and loyal customers, the many and rambunctious bachelorettes, and the steady stream of first-timers, who always wonder if it is okay to come in the back door. We will miss those who sit down on our beautiful deck overlooking the St. Croix River to enjoy 4th of July fireworks or just savor a bottle of Oktoberfest with someone special on a beautiful day.

Many have told us that our wines were among the most delicious made in Minnesota. We took pride that we only sourced grapes from our co-op members and a few local growers and never brought in juice from the East or West coast of the US.

We were Real. Minnesota. Wine. and we really thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts.

We hope to see you all over the next three weekends - so watch our page for very special offers intended to lure you into the back door.. one last time.
