I ended up with Leo my drum horse and that was the start of MisMatch Acres. We are currently rebranding and rebuilding on a new and bigger property. We will eventually offer fresh eggs, baby chicks, and so much more. In the meantime, W

elcome to our page, and enjoy the growth of MisMatch Acres as we embark on this new and exciting journey.

In regards to the horses sold at the auction, it’s easy to repost due to one side of a story…. It has been brought to my attention there are other sides to the story….While I wasn’t there and don’t fully know the story, this is my response.

Copied from another post…. Please be careful and cautious if you have these animals. I despise dishonest people.

Buyers beware!!! If you bought any of these horses from the Hazlehurst stockyard auction the person who brought them hasn’t had them for 72 hrs and lied about there ability!!! There’s 1 post i screenshotted and shared about the appy mare the owner of the mule and mustang are in her comments section! These are serious projects! Do not put your kids on them!!! These horses are known for throwing grown men some even considered dangerous! The mustang has never been under saddle!! Please please please beware! The true previous owners are speaking out and have no issue telling the whole truth about these horses! The stockyard has been warned but chose to disregard the warnings and trust the person who brought them up there.

Listen, sometimes farm kids are just wired a little differently. I had a long day! We had just gotten back from and unexpected run to Savannah. I needed help unloading our big jack. Lala pops up and says hang on I can help! But wait, Sissy can you hold Allie? I said Huh? She lifts her shirt and pulls a kitten out of her pocket. She said Oh she’s pocket sized. So she just goes along all over with me….. šŸ¤” I mean, it’s not snakes, frogs, lizards, or any other creepy crawlers….. But this kid really has me beginning to question things.🤣

Today we got a visit from the Equine Dentist! 🦷 🐓 He is always super informative. He loves to share his knowledge of horses and their teeth and we always love to listen and learn. Today we got shown the difference between different aged horses. We learned about the phrase ā€œLong in the toothā€ and Lala got a souvenir! All in all. Pretty awesome day!

What once started as a way to honor and give thanks to god, has grown and evolved. It has become a way to pour Gods spirit in a place that means the world to me. It’s a way to bless others who wonder through my barn. It has become a form of peace and protection. It’s funny how something as simple and meaningful as writing a couple Bible verses have evolved like it has. I’m so proud of the growth and evolution of Mismatch Acres. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my little farm.

While winding down at night, I read the Bible to everyone and Genesis insists on Nighttime cuddles with her favorite human.
I swear she is the most spoilt little lamb I have ever known. But she is also the sweetest and most well behaved. I know eventually she will be moved outside and that will take some transitioning but I am so thankful for the opportunity to get to love on, train up, and watch Genesis grow. Raising bottle babies definitely isn’t for the faint of heart(Rip Gemma) but with faith in God, lots of love, and even more consistency it’s so worth it. My favorite position God ever put me in was to be a steward for these animals. What joy it brings to my heart!
