Ok funny story...

I was on the porch chasing a chick that escaped the brooder earlier this morning.. it ran under a shelf in the corner, I went to bend down to see where it was at, (I had a small butterfly net to try to catch it with) When a broody hen started squawking at me...

SCARED the Crap out of me!!!! (She was in my face when I bent down) I Screamed so Loud that Richard and Gizmo came running.. I scared them 😂
I had no idea my Leghorn hen decided to try to lay eggs in a box of trash from where we were cleaning the porch last night..
I moved her into a basket that I put in the tub because her 1 egg was in between some old Christmas ornaments 😂 so I gave her a bunch more of her eggs I have been saving to hatch...

Oh and before I could get the chick back to a brooder I had a kitten get tangled up in a big net we use to catch big chickens, he was screaming too, but quickly calmed down when I got him free

I decided I'm keeping this brave little chick that was able to stay away from the cats for a couple of hours while we were in town this morning.. plus she decided she liked me after I saved her 😍
