This little guy was put into our "for market" pen, but he has really grown on me, which usually happens when I spend too much time with the babies. Before his fate gets sealed next weekend by the green donut fairy, I thought I'd offer him up for sale. He is an 8-week-old, unregistered, pureblood, Nubian buckling out of Cherry Tree Farms and Blissberry breeding. Both sire and dam are registered with ADGA, so he can be registered. His dam nursed triplets and still provided us with close to 1 gallon of milk a day. If interested, please test me at 918-507-2811.

I'm seeing these kinds of posts more and more lately, and it saddens and angers me. PLEASE, if you are thinking about getting an Anatolian, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH on this breed before getting one. PLEASE find a reputable breeder who will help you determine if this is the right breed for you and your family. If you are a breeder, PLEASE interview your potential customers and educate them on what to expect when they get these dogs home. Don't leave out the negatives about Anatolian ownership because let's all face it, they can be a challenge and people need to know that before taking that puppy home. These dogs are not easily rehomed when things do not work out, and it's usually the dog that suffers the consequences. Anatolians are a unique and amazing breed of dog, but they are not a breed suited for everyone.

These two incredible Anatolian lovebirds will be giving us puppies sometime in the near future. Both Autumn Acres Saria Elon and Elkhorn Ginger Cabuk work as active guardian dogs here at the ranch and have consistently demonstrated superior working ability and excellent guardian demeanor when interacting with our goats, sheep, cows, and various fowl. Elon's sire, our very own Lucky Hit Leydi Asaph, is the litter mate to the AKC Sire of Merit and Top AKC Breed Producer of Champions. Chabuk's sire, Lucky Hit Vehit, is a proven superior livestock guardian and winner of the Westminster Best of Breed and several AKC Championships.
