This little goat brought this little girl so much joy and so much confidence. From her first show winning her junior breed (RG) to winning Best In Show as well, you can see how happy that little girl was.
Then the little girl grew up a bit and so did the goat and Mooney finished her championship in one weekend only a few years later. Then as they continued to grow together, the team earned their first ribbon in the national show showmanship class. She was a lovely goat but an even better companion for Bri.
Mooney ended up with a tumor on her foot a few years back. We were able to salvage some of her foot to make her comfortable. She kept going and blessed Bri with 3 more kiddings, including CH Cherry Tree Moonshine as well as several other daughters and grand daughters.
But as it always goes, the good ones leave too soon. This month we said goodbye to Mooney. She crossed over the bridge, on her own terms, laying in the barn where she slept that night. No fuss, no worries, ate cookies just the day before, maybe to tell us goodbye. She will be missed but her genetics will continue on with all these "Moon" babies.
