Surprise babies are the BEST! ♥️

I artificially inseminated Nosey Rosey in December, but when she showed signs of coming into heat afterward, I assumed it didn’t take. So, I figured I’d put her with the bull in May and plan for a spring calf.

Fast-forward to about two weeks ago, I noticed she was bagging up and starting to spring! We went back and checked the dates, and sure enough… that December AI took after all!

Yesterday, she delivered a beautiful fullblood Wagyu heifer on her exact due date.

Welcome to the world, sweet girl! We’re so glad you’re here! 🐮💕

Somewhere along the way, many people lost their connection to where their food comes from. Buying directly from a farmer helps bridge that gap. It allows you to know the people raising your food, ask questions, and have confidence in how it was cared for from pasture to plate.

Our mamas have done a fantastic job raising their calves this year, and we’re getting close to weaning time. With that comes the task of figuring out what we’re keeping.

If you’d like us to feed out a steer for your family, or if you’d like to feed one out yourself, we’d be honored to meet that need.

And the added bonus of buying from us? There’s a 100% guarantee the beef you’re buying had its snoot kissed throughout its life. That alone would sell me. 😉♥️

Charles and I had a wonderful time at the American Wagyu Association Annual Conference, reconnecting with friends we’ve made over the years and building new relationships within the Wagyu community.

Seeing Don Brown of Triangle B Ranch receive the Lifetime Achievement Award was truly special. Much of our herd has been built on the foundation of his genetics, and we deeply treasure the mentorship, wisdom, and friendship he has shared with us throughout the years.

Meeting Dean Ackerman of Flying A Wagyu in person was an absolute delight! He’s even more entertaining in person than I imagined. One memory I won’t soon forget is the good-natured scolding I received for AI’ing cattle while wearing sandals. Message received, Dean…I’ll be wearing boots from here on out!

We are grateful to be part of such an incredible industry filled with passionate breeders, dedicated cattlemen and cattlewomen, and lifelong friendships. Looking forward to next year!

Cherry ♥️ (FB32970 TBR YASU 6312E)
April 6, 2017 – August 2, 2026

Our matriarch passed away suddenly and without warning. She was our embryo donor and the foundation upon which we’ve built our herd.

Cherry was the sweetest girl, she was always ready for treats and tail scratches. We miss her dearly, the farm just doesn’t feel quite the same without her.

We are incredibly grateful for the legacy she leaves behind. We find ourselves treasuring her offspring a little more tenderly, and we’re looking forward to the 2027 calving season, when our recipient cows will bring more of her babies into the world.

The embryos she leaves behind, safely stored in our nitrogen tank, are now absolutely priceless to us.

Her impact on our herd, and on us, will continue for generations.

Charles and I will love our Cherry Berry girl forever. 🍒

Sometimes these little fellows need kisses right on their snoots when they’re in the chute and can’t get away. ♥️

Yes… that’s calf slobber dripping down my chin.

If you like puppy breath, you’ll probably like calf slobber too. 😉

1/2 beef available!🥩

Born here, raised here, and lived a well cared for life. We’d be honored to fill your freezer.

This is Fullblood Wagyu, and is the last beef we will have available until next year, all of our upcoming butcher steers are spoken for.

Our most recent carcass sure is a beauty!

Born here, raised here, and never left until the day he was harvested.

It’s an honor not to be taken for granted, from the day he was born to the moment we delivered his final packages to fill our customers’ freezers.

The sunset last night was pretty incredible. We’ve been in full-on go mode through the height of breeding season. Grateful to have made it through the busiest stretch, and to have slowed down enough to be mesmerized by moments like this.

Life’s an interesting, interwoven experience with a whole lot of connectedness. It’s intricate, complex, and altogether fascinating… kind of like breeding season!

I’m scared of certain things, like identifying CLs on ovaries and knowing for sure what’s what. But when I spend time with a gentleman such as Les, his energy makes me realize that for everything, there’s a season. He carries a depth of knowledge that only comes with years of experience, and I’m incredibly grateful he was willing to come back and transfer embryos for us another year.

I’m looking forward to our next season.

Embryo implants complete.

Stick, babies, stick! 💞
