Hi friends,
We wanted to share an update regarding our participation in the Marietta Farmers Market.
Due to the ongoing weather challenges this season, we are still several weeks away from having enough produce to return to market, as we continue replanting and reseeding our crops. After much consideration, we’ve also made the decision that we will not be returning to the Marietta market moving forward.
This was not an easy decision. Ultimately, it came down to a few key factors that are important to us as farmers and as a business.
First, weather-related infrastructure plays a major role in our ability to safely and consistently show up for you. Some of the markets we attend offer better protection for vendors during extreme weather, including windbreaks, building shelter, or indoor options during severe cold. These conditions help ensure a safer, more reliable market experience for both farmers and customers.
Second, we’ve found that strong market-level communication and promotion matter—not just for farmers, but for shoppers as well. Many markets we attend actively communicate weekly updates to customers about weather changes, vendor attendance, and what’s available, helping everyone plan their visit with confidence.
Finally, and most importantly, we remain deeply committed to transparency and integrity in farming. We believe farmers markets work best when customers can trust that what they’re buying is grown by the people selling it, in season, and with care. Supporting markets that actively uphold those values is essential for small farms like ours that invest significant time, labor, and resources into growing food the right way.
We are incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown us over the years at Marietta. Many of you have followed our farm through changing seasons, crops, and even weather extremes, and that loyalty means more to us than we can say.
We’d love to continue serving you at our other markets and through our direct channels, where we’ll keep sharing updates on where to find us, what’s growing, and what’s coming next.
Thank you for supporting local agriculture and for being part of our farm community.
With gratitude,
Jeff & Rodney
P.S. We will miss all of our customers for sure. Jeff will be at Peachtree Road and I will be at Morningside. Please stop by and visit sometime!
