Good to see the ewes we sold to the Stockbridge FFA following the lambs. Glad they all had such nice babies, too.

People in the comments think they’re goats. Nope they’re hair sheep, potentially Katahdin, but seem too small for Eid. Reminds me of the time we dropped sheep off and the guy thought a small rope would be enough to hold them. Did that once, not again. It’s too stressful on the animals and us too.

Lately, we aren’t selling sheep for Eid. We prefer to sell ram lambs younger for feeders and a few for breeding. Ewe lambs we hold back or sell for breeding.

Did you know sheep help vineyards thrive? 🌱🐑

With spring growth underway in vineyards across the country, sheep are back in the rows helping prepare the land for the season ahead.

Through natural grazing, they support healthier soils, stronger vines, and a more sustainable vineyard ecosystem, reducing the need for heavy machinery and herbicides while naturally returning nutrients back into the soil.

It’s a simple partnership that helps support healthier vineyards, better grapes, and a more thoughtful connection to the land. 🍷
