New Beer!

Kick out the Jam! - a raspberry wheat beer.

We took the base grain bill of our Color of Magic Wit and instead of tangerine, we added an unreasonable amount of raspberry.. 160lbs of fresh raspberry puree (over 1lb per gallon!) to be exact… This dry, zesty, pink-hued gem is the epitome of punk.

As a note, due to the giant mess, and absolute pain in the ass that the raspberries were to work with and filter .. Adam has proclaimed he is never making this beer again (at least until he forgets he said that..).

So get it while it lasts..

Looks like maybe some rough weather during our open hours today. So we are pushing the Locals Night a week in the event the road are a mess. We want to make sure it is a good night for The Friends of the Delaware Canal!

We are still gonna be open tonight!

This Thursday 8/20.. Locals' Night at Odd Bird! 4-8PM

15% of all onsite pours and 100% of all tips will go to benefit the Friends of the Delaware Canal and their mission to repair and upkeep the canal bridges and canal pumps (including the one near and dearest to Odd Bird at Centre Bridge).

Come out and raise a pint of beer (or a non-alcoholic beverage option) with your neighbors for a good cause.

As always, all outside food is welcome (and encouraged). Grab something from our friends at EarthServed or some amazing BBQ at The Starving Artist Cafe at Stockton NJ and bring it over!

Locals Night Update!!

Local's Night is still on tonight at Odd Bird from 4-8pm.

If you can't make it out tonight due to the poor air quality / heat, but still want to donate / participate, we will be taking food and supply donations ALL WEEKEND! and as always, all tips tonight will go to Fisherman's Mark.

We all know that Odd Bird is a Flightless Bird…. But for the next couple of weekends or so we are making an exception.. much to Adam’s chagrin.

We are taking our 100% traditional Berliner Style Weisse and giving it a bit of a Summer treatment.

Chirp! starts with a 50/50 mash bill of Local NJ Hillary Pilsner and Wheat malts. Simple so far right? Where it gets interesting is the fermentation of this classic beer style. Forgoing modern kettle souring, we sour the beer in the fermenter with a blend of Lactobacillus, and then ferment with a special blend of German ale yeast and a couple strains of our favorite “wild” Brettanomyces yeasts…

The result is an amazingly refreshing, tart and fruity beer.

Then Karen gets her hands on it and tosses in some crazy stuff (some traditional..some less so) in the glass.

Often in Berlin it will be served Mit Schuss.. which is with some Woodruff syrup. Makes the beer green and marshmallowy and lovely.

We got the green syrup. But also Pickle! (which is Karen’s current fav and would go perfect over this weekend with Immortal Milk Cheese Co. Jumbo Pretzels with dill pickle queso).. Blueberry Lemonade tastes like a bomb pop..

Odd Bird takes Flight… for a short time.

Join us tomorrow at Odd Bird for our July Locals Night!

Thursday, 7/16 from 4-8pm: A school supplies drive and benefit for Fisherman's Mark in Lambertville.

This non-profit social services organization works miracles for our community, providing not only nutritious meals to families experiencing food insecurity, but also educational programs and assistance for our area's most vulnerable population: the children. As always, we will donate 15% of profits from on-site pours and 100% of tips. See you tomorrow!

All outside food is welcome, and we will have non-alcoholic options available.
