Half Acre Farm We are a small family farm, raising registered and unregistered Nigerian Dwarf Goats. Mom and dad also have cows and miniature donkeys.

Final update for today(I hope)

After doing afternoon chores yesterday I checked Cookies ligs. They were not there... OK she needed a kidding stall and they were currently all occupied. Miranda and her triplets were moved to the back stall with inside outside acceess and cookie was moved to her stall.
She is a quiet kidder and did not wake me even though I had the baby monitor on. Cookie dough had quad doelings around 3am (checked the camera) 3 of them are happy and healthy even if really little and one was gone when I found this morning. Here is Cookie with her 3 remaining doelings

Update post 3

Sunday morning the bottle baby had her first bottle at 530... after feeding the herd I went inside warmed up and had just finished giving the bottle baby another snack when Patience went into labor. She had gorgeous big doe/buck twins sired by Rebel. It was a fairly quick and uncomplicated delivery. Patience is also easier to hand milk than Faith so im happy that I can sneak some of her colostrum milk for the bottle baby now that her kids are here. Update post 2

A good friend came to drive the tractor and clean out the doe barn on Saturday the does are once again contained to "their side" of the barn Thank you Jay.
I fed the herd and Faith wasn't interested in her grain... Jay also helped me move Cookie Dough to the nursery since she was due on Tuesday. He left and after finishing afternoon chores I went to check on Faith. She had had quad doelings 2 big healthy girls one tiny DOA and an little one whose temp was low. I warmed the little one and milked colostrum from mom for her. She's now a bottle brat as she would never keep up with her much bigger sisters. What a busy weekend here at the farm. This is the first of several quick posts to update on all the new arrivals You know I moved Faith, Mandy and Patience to their kidding stalls Friday afternoon and that Mandy kidded Friday night. Half Acre Farm G Shania skipped the line and kidded triplets 2 does 1 buck sired by Sunnydale Farm ND Rebel early this afternoon then on my way in from chores Half Acre Farm A Cool Breeze let out a yell that had me putting the dog in the house and heading back to the barn. She has had 3 bucks and a doeling sired by Scruton Ponds Wrangler I am pretty sure shes done will get pictures of all the kids when it warms up tomorrow.
