For over 75 years, we have raised our herd of Hereford and Angus beef on over 200 acres of lush pasture. Unlike industrial-raised beef, our animals will NEVER been exposed to:
Growth Hormones
Antibiotics
Grass with pesticide, herbicide, or fungicide
Our animals eat only grass we grow and bale on our farm. As a result; our meat is significantly leaner and more flavorful than those raised on a corn
diet. The animals are rotated to new pastures every few days, to ensure they always have plenty of fresh grass to eat. The only occasion our cows eat grain is during the coldest winter months (January and February). The grain is added to the hay stockpile to increase body heat and maintain weight through the winter season. Our cattle have been members of the same family unit since the 1970s. Girl calves ... the best looking and strongest ones ... are kept and grow-up to be momma cows. We don't mix our cows with other cows in in order to keep the herd healthy and free of pathogens. Even the bulls come from local farmers and we know every hoof that steps foot on the farm is that of a clean and healthy cow. Young steers are born and raised in our pastures only. They have only had their mother’s milk and hay from our farm. At processing time, they are taken directly from the pasture and sent to a local USDA approved processor.
