My first apple tree pruning!

Learn from me as I tidy up my tree and remove a couple of suckers growing at its base.

While you may think they are little “bonus trees” worth repotting— if they’re coming from the rootstock, they can grow very differently from the apple tree. Same roots don’t necessarily mean the same apples! 👀

Yes, it's fall gardening season but we're getting things ready for spring as well.

Baby dem strawberries were out there doing marathons because I propagated 50 before I ran out of containers.

So in about 3 weeks dem babies should be rooted and if I find them another home in time, they'll have their own bed and be bundled up in some mulch for the winter.

In celebration of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, I’m sharing short videos honoring some amazing women in agriculture—and I’m starting with someone who made a lasting difference in my farming journey.

Ms. Ina helped me gain clarity, guided me toward getting my farm number, and changed my understanding of what farming could look like. That conversation helped me see my own work and its possibilities in a new light.

Ms. Ina, thank you for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to help me. What may have felt like a simple conversation to you meant so much to me. I’m grateful for the part you’ve played in my journey and happy to give you your flowers. 🌻

Super excited that last week we had our first WIC market.

Shout out to Shakera Lawrence for helping ya girl hold it down. I APPRECIATE you!

It was their last market of the year and they anticipated 250 people. I didn't know what to expect and I was praying to God we had enough... And 👏🏾 God 👏🏾 Did👏🏾 That! 👏🏾

More WIC markets to come in 2027!

Rock climbing has been on my bucket list for a while, but I kept putting it off because of my weight. When my friend said she wanted to go for her birthday, though, I said, “Bet!” 😂

Even though those shoes started hurting my feet 😭, I truly enjoyed myself—and I’d definitely do it again!

Sometimes, the limitations holding us back are the ones we’ve placed on ourselves. But God didn’t give us this life to watch it pass by while we wait for the “perfect” time or a “better” version of ourselves.

Take the chance. Make the memory. Enjoy your life right where you are.

Just try it, sis! 💚
