I know we’ve been a little MIA on this page lately. Life has been lifeing and things have been a little crazy around here. Between family, work, baseball, school and just trying to keep up with everyday life, social media has definitely taken a back seat.

BUT… we are still here and we do have maple syrup available for sale!

This Memorial Day, we remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

Today we wanted to update everyone on how our season went and what is going on currently.

We tapped our woods February 6th, collected our first sap on February 16th. Gathered roughly 14,000g of sap. Then ended our season and pulled taps on March 31 and started cleaning equipment.

Made 160 gallons of syrup, which is the most we have ever produced, but also short of our minimum production goals for this season. 40 gallons was sold as bulk syrup and 120 gallons is an amazing amber/robust quality syrup that will be bottled. We are ordering new bottles and should have those in the next few weeks.

Currently we are getting our woods select cut. This will help open up space in the canopy which decreases immediate competition amongst our maples and will let them grow and hopefully give us better yields in a few years, while also allowing younger generations of trees to prosper. This also provides us an opportunity to gather more firewood that we us to fuel our evaporator.

It also makes a huge mess and creates a lot of extra work with the tubing. In Hindsight, we should have logged this 2 years ago before putting the new tubing system in. 😂 What can I say, I like to learn the hard way.

Our hearts are heavy today after the tragic house fire in our community that took the lives of three individuals. We are keeping their families and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

We also want to recognize the brave firefighters and first responders who were on the scene, including members of our own family. We are so grateful for their courage, strength, and dedication as they worked through such a heartbreaking situation.

Please keep everyone affected in your prayers. This is a reminder to hold your loved ones a little closer today. 💔

Our season has come to and end. It was an odd season with 2 really great sap runs followed by a week of really warm temperatures and a bunch of hit or miss temps. We made the best of it through all of the wind storms and warm days. All of our taps are pulled and now we begin to work on the list of off season projects.

At this time we only have some bourbon barrel aged syrup left. We are currently working with a new bottle supplier and hopefully have those delivered soon so we can start getting them to you. Thank you all for the love and support and patience. We couldn’t do this without you all.

Greg’s sugar shack. He has built this from the ground up. With some help, but mainly by himself. Even though there is still lots of work to be made on it I’m proud of what he is accomplishing. Maple season is far from easy, but it’s his favorite season and we love watching him do what he loves🍁🍁
