250 years ago, a bunch of young men, with an average age of 44, got together and said enough was enough in this room. They weren't going to risk life and liberty in the new world for a guy 3000 miles away, and fork over every scrap they managed to scrounge up in the process just for a king. Some of the signers were in their 20's! They were farmers, doctors, lawyers, merchants, and clergy. All desperate to build a nation where freedom was paramount. Freedom to live your life with equal opportunity instead of relying on the chance that you might get lucky enough to be born into the right family. Can you imagine holding the fate of what would become a new nation in your hands in your 20's? I'm sure glad they did! Happy 4th, everyone!
