Through our passion for cultivating this elegant fruit and promoting awareness of the Texas High Plains as a prominent American Viticultural Area (AVA), Reddy Vineyards is pioneering a superior grape-growing and competitive region in the wine industry. Biography of Dr. Vijay Reddy:
From produce and grain in the lush terrain of Andhra Pradesh, India to cotton and peanuts in the High Plains of West Texas, Dr. Vijay Reddy’s roots in farming lie deep within the agricultural community. in 1971 to pursue a graduate education in soil and plant science and eventually obtained a doctorate degree in 1975. Along with his wife Subada, Dr. Reddy established and ran a soil consulting laboratory while continuing to farm cotton and peanuts. With the encouragement of a close friend and colleague, Reddy first planted grapes in 1997. His vast expertise in both soil chemistry and farming led to a gold medal-winning Cabernet Sauvignon with his first planting. After a very successful initial harvest Dr. Reddy realized the magnificent potential of West Texas premium grapes. His passion for the vineyard has determined a lifetime pursuit of perfecting and cultivating wine grapes. Reddy Vineyards is now comprised of a constantly expanding 200+ acres. In addition, over 25 varieties of grapes with origins spanning the globe blanket this exquisite High Plains estate. Featured Articles:

Nearly 30 years ago, our family planted a vineyard in the Texas High Plains with a dream of making world-class w**es from 100% Texas grapes. 🍇

This fall, we’re watching Dr. Akhil Reddy walk across the stage at the State Fair of Texas to accept a 2026 Texas Vintners Cup award. Some moments make every early morning, long harvest, and leap of faith worth it.

Texas W**e Month was established by TX Department of Agriculture in 1999 to celebrate a growing w**e industry. Today, Texas is the country's fifth-largest w**e-producing state, with more than 500 licensed w**eries and an industry that generates over $20 billion to the state economy.

Reddy Vineyards has been farming the Texas High Plains since 1997, one of the first families to believe this land could produce world-class w**e before anyone was paying attention. All month long, we are celebrating what this state grows, what our family and team have built, and what Texas w**e has become.

The 2023 Reddy Vineyards Aglianico was named a 2026 Texas Vintners Cup Winner, one of only 12 w**es selected from 275+ entries and judged blind by two Master Sommeliers.

And that is just the beginning of what this bottle has accomplished!

This is the first release of our 100% estate Aglianico, one of Southern Italy’s oldest varietals. It was grown at 3,305 feet in Brownfield, Texas, harvested August 2023, and aged 14 months in oak.

A meaningful morning for the next generation. 🇺🇸

This morning, our local Cub Scouts gathered for a flag ceremony in remembrance of Patriot Day, honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the first responders who answered the call, and the many acts of courage and service that followed.

It was especially meaningful to see a new generation of Scouts participate in a tradition centered on remembrance, respect, and service to their community.

Among them were members of the Reddy family, including our CEO, Akhil Reddy, an Eagle Scout who now serves as a Den Leader and has the chance to pass those same values to the next generation.

From our family at Reddy Vineyards, we remember and honor all those affected by September 11. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
